We will think twice about displaying anything that will annoy our readers (aside from our reviews) and turns JapanReview.Net into a cyber bookstore.

Second, if you are an author, we are happy to accept review copies of your work. However, we cannot guarantee a review, let alone a positive one. Regarding the first point, as a non-profit site of limited resources, we simply cannot get to everything. On the latter, the purpose of our site is to discuss ideas, not rubber-stamp recently published titles.

Articulate and interesting letters that respond to site-specific content may appear on the Letters page of JapanReview.Net, but we reserve the right to edit for style and length. Please do not waste your time and ours with ad-hominem and personal attacks: they will not be printed. Anonymity will only be allowed under circumstances of an extremely sensitive nature. Those wishing to remain anonymous are asked to indicate the specific reasons for this request and JapanReview.Net editors will consider them on a case-by-case basis.
