Interviews
Reviews

As much as we enjoy trotting out the MD player and microphone, we are not journalists. In the section below we interviewed the great, the good, and the simply interesting. The objective of these interviews was to flesh out the Japanese studies community—to put a voice to a name. The questions have no particular agenda, just questions we were curious about.

Hard hitting journalism? Perhaps not. We generally let the subject talk. Some times that was rope enough to hang themselves with, other times we were truly humbled. We let you be the judge. Interviews, conducted by guest journalists, have been marked with an asterisk.
